Hon'ble MInister for Parliamentary Affairs Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal extended warm wishes to the Association fraternity for the best of festival season ahead.
As discussed with Kousik Roy, Secretary General, AICEIA, a meeting held with Sh. Pawan Kumar Bansal, Hon’ble Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India at 1030 Hours on15.10.2011 at Chandigarh. The Association was represented by Sh. Manoj Nayyar, President, AICEIA Chandigarh Circle; Sh. K. C. Shajgotra, Branch Secretary, Branch Unit Chandigarh-I and myself.
The Hon’ble Minister was kind enough to listen to the Association's point on the 01.01.1996 notional fixation issue. He has assured us to take up the matter with the Finance Ministry. The representation of the Association dated 14.10.2011 was handed over to the Hon’ble Minister and his reference in the matter to the Hon’ble Finance Minister was assured shortly. We expect a D.O.letter from the Minister to the secretary Expenditure shortly.
On behalf of the Association, I would also like to thank Sh. Sunil Sharma, Superintendent, Central Excise Commissionerate, Chandigarh-I with whose help and active participation, this meeting has been a success.
