17140 pay had already given to DR inspector. why CBDT is submitting the order now. why not for GP-4800?

The payband of 17,140/- is already given to the post 1.1.2006 direct Inspectors, CBDT order removed anomaly by equating the pay of pre 1.1.2006 direct/promotee Inspectors on par with their juniors of post 1.1.2006. I think thats what is being considered.

The heading of the post is misleading. The actual issue according to the information available, is that the pay of the promotee inspector shall not be less than that of the minimum prescribed for the DR Inspector. This issue has been settled in CBDT and it is a matter of time, before it is followed here, as there is no other way to go about it..

Dear Balu
I think you are exactly correct. There is no provision in pay rules to give pay to promotees on par with direct recruitees. But what is given in IT is equal pay with direct recruitee junior from the date the junior drawing pay more than the senior. It very clearly mentioned that pay will not be stepped up if no junior is drawing is drawing more pay or there is no direct recruitment in a particular post. You can go through the IT letter placed in my blog left panel.

'exactly correct' in above post may be read as 'exactly not correct'.

Dear Mr. Raju,

The DR Inspector already enjoys a minimum pay on appointment as per the 6th CPC notification itself. It is not that you are fighting for. It is for those DRs who joined before 01.01.06, and the promotee inspectors, who are drawing lesser pay than the DR inspectors pay. The clarification says this in exact terms..
The pay of a senior whether he is a DR or an promotee can be stepped up to the level of his junior from the date his junior draws the higher pay.

This is what i meant in my earlier comment.
