On the 3rd and 4th of October 2012 the President, Secretary General and Advisor of the AICEIA met Member (P&V), ADG(HRM) and DOP&T officials. It is learnt that the austerity measures of the Union Government is delaying the progress of Cadre restructuring proposals beyond DOP&T.
As the regional disparity in promotions to Superintendent cadre across various CCAs is getting wider, we have sought upgradation of all Inspectors who have completed 8 years of service across the country. The resentment within the cadre has properly been informed. The Member(P&V) has asked for the year wise data. All Circle Secretaries are therefore requested to immediately compile data of year-wise number of Inspectors in each of the fifteen Cadre Control Zones as on 05.10.2012, so that the same can be furnished to the Board immediately to highlight the extent of stagnation. Such data may please be mailed at my new mail id ajitkgbhilai@gmail.com and the President's id manojmythree@hotmail.com within five days positively. All the national office bearers may please co-ordinate with the Zonal Secretaries to ensure correct and timely compilation of this information.
AICEIA has once again requested the Board to ease the conditions stipulated for ICT on the lines of CBDT. The copy of the letters is reproduced for information.All concerned officials including the Member (P&V) have been apprised of these and all other important issues being faced by our cadre.
The next meeting of the JAC is scheduled on 8th Oct.2012 at Chennai to review the situation and to chalk out the future action programmes. A preliminary meeting for the formation of a federation with the Superintendents' Association would also be held at Chennai on the said date.
